Scopist Career Information
The scopist works on the reporter's rough draft of the proceedings, proofreading and editing the stenotype-to-English translation of the reporter's notes into a professionally formatted transcript for the reporter's final review and certification.
A scopist can also work remotely on a live feed using realtime technology, editing the reporter's notes within seconds of their being taken down stenographically.
