StenoTech Career Institute is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) to award certificates and diplomas.

ACICS is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education and is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

APPROVALS

The institution maintains approval by the following State agencies:

• NJ Department of Labor, Division of Employment and Training, Worforce Development Partnership Program, for training grants to upgrade the skills of displaced unemployed workers

• Veterans Administration for the training of veterans and their eligible persons sponsored as students under Chapters 34, 30, 32 or 35, U.S. Code, Title 38

StenoTech Career Institute is also approved by the United States Department of Education for participation in the Title IV Student Financial Assistance Programs

ASSOCIATIONS

StenoTech has maintained an institutional membership with the Private Career Schools Association of New Jersey since 1990.  The school has also maintained an institutional membership with the American Association for Medical Transcription (AAMT) since 1993.

StenoTech Career Institute is recognized by the New Jersey State Board of Shorthand Reporting as an approved training site for continuing education seminars.  Both the Fairfield and Piscataway campuses serve as test sites for semiannual licensing examinations given by the National Court Reporters Association, in particular the Registered Professional Reporter (RPR), which is required for reporter certification in the State of New Jersey.
